Taking the week off
Back next week... and we made a customer more money?
I’m pausing your typical dose of my newsletter this week to spend some time outside touching grass (and rocks). I lost some sleep during a customer go live and have been pretty stressed out. My cup has been a bit empty, so I decided to get out to the mountains for the weekend with some friends to run and climb.
Firm believer of sustainable high performance vs. peaks and burnouts.
Customer is live though. And they’re happy.
Because they’re making more money.
And the motion is repeatable.
+$2500 daily revenue so far, projected to 5x their original baseline revenue within 6 months if all goes well.
We’re getting solid proof that Clarity API, and our firm stance that modeling people at the n=1 level to solve for AI hyper-personalization, translates to tangible business outcomes.
Needless to say I am quite excited about this. (:
More on that in the future.
Gotta touch some rocks and trails with Kenji.
Here’re some photos/videos from our adventures.
Attempt #1 of this classic boulder problem, Checkboard V8 in Bishop California.
Tried it from where I fell. It’s pretty hard from here and I didn’t end up sending the boulder.
I’ll have to find the right sequence, but I believe it’s very possible.
Next time I’m here, it goes down for sure.
And now I’ll come back home recharged and ready to tackle our enterprise pipeline that’s been building!
We have a really solid qualified B2B lead in the pipeline for Clarity API, and I aim to close. 🤞
In the Meantime
If you’re looking for something to read or reflect on, here are a few of my favorite newsletters:
Someone is manifesting YOU: When in doubt, zoom out. I share a story of my aunt selling cigarettes on the corners of Vietnam at five years old, and I reflect on how empathizing with that makes my problems feel smaller and lighter. I talk about intentional gratitude.
How I Conquer Imposter Syndrome: Whether you’re stepping into a new role or just questioning if you’re “good enough,” this piece breaks down the steps I’ve taken to quiet that inner critic and own my achievements.
The Truth About Perfectionism: Perfectionism often disguises itself as ambition, but it’s more often a roadblock than a catalyst. Here’s what I’ve learned about letting go of “perfect” to embrace progress.
The Secret to Success and Happiness: Spoiler: It’s not about climbing the highest mountain or working the longest hours. This one’s for anyone searching for fulfillment in both life and work.
Gratitude Is Bullshit Armor: Gratitude is powerful, but not when it’s used to suppress or bypass hard emotions. This piece dives into how real gratitude can coexist with struggle and why it’s essential to feel the hard stuff, too.
See you next week,
Robert & Kenji
